Local Therapist Trains to Help End Stroke
Stephanie Grigely, a physical therapist with Healthsouth Rehabilitation Hospital in Ludlow, along with her friend Monica Moriarty are teaming up with the American Stroke Association (ASA) to raise awareness and needed funding for stroke research and education.
Stephanie and Monica will be running a half marathon as a tribute to Stephanie’s grandmother, Anne Grigely a stroke survivor since 2006. The marathon will take place in Kona, Hawaii on June 29, 2008.
As a benefit of teaming up with the American Stroke Association, they provide the women with hotel accommodations, race entry fee along with expert coaching and training schedules to assist them.
Fund raising events have been scheduled for the upcoming months in the area. All monies raised will benefit the local branch of the ASA. For more information, or to make a donation please visit http://ttes.kona2008.kintera.org/shoefly21.
